THYPHOON SEASON IN ASIA
We are currently in the middle of typhoon season and this has been deeply affecting both AIR and OCEAN shipments.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
We must stressed the importance of placing bookings with AT LEAST 15 days in advance, in order for us to control and book the best solution.
Updates:
Typhoon Rumbia (Affecting Zhejiang Province: Shanghai-Ningbo)
Typhoon made landfall between Thursday night (08/16) and early Friday morning (08/17),
The temporary closure of the wharf and the yard will be carried out in accordance with the weather condition in Shanghai Port Area.
As you can imagine, backlogs and delays of vessel schedule will continue in the next few weeks.
In addition, Shanghai two airports will be also affected to varying degrees: some flights may be canceled as the typhoon is increasing its power. All Carriers are currently cutting flight capacities for safety.
Typhoon Bebinca (Affecting North of Vietnam: Haiphong)
Typhoon Bebinca is currently affecting the norther regions of Vietnam (Hanoi). Vietnamese authorities are maintaining close attention on its route.
Ocean carriers have already announced some changes on feeders- please find attached MSC announcement.
Typhoon may also cause delays on operations into/ out of HAN airport terminals.
